How to change the colour of your free printables to match your project. 

So - you have found the perfect printable design packing paper - but it is in the wrong colour for your project!  Curses, but panic yea not...  It is SUPER SIMPLE to change the colour of the printable you have BEFORE YOU PRINT IT!

All you need to do is alter the hue (or temperature) and saturation of your image.  If you have any digital image manipulation software - you can easily use this function within these software packages (refer to individual publishers help files).

If you do not have this software - there is a super and - yes FREE - online service you can use to do this.  


First you will need to save the file you like to your hard disk...

1)  Place your cursor over the large image you require (ENSURING first you are viewing the large print file and not the small thumbnail) and right click.  From the dropdown menu that appears, select 'Save As'.  In the command box that appears, save your file to a suitable directory and give it a name you will recognise.


2)  Go to http://www.picnik.com/.  Click on 'get started now' - and click on 'upload a photo' - locate the saved printable file and click on it - this will open the 'edit' tab in picnic.

3) Click on the 'colours' button at the top of the page and by sliding the temperature and saturation controls - you will see the image changing colour in front of you.  Slide these controls about until you have the colour you desire and then print the image.
